Artistic, educational, and cultural value develops when leaders identify community assets and obstacles. The leaders of the Giant Hearts Project recognize the rich heritage of the Giants of Seville along with the challenges the rural communities face. Community engagement activities are:
- Rural Immersion (Service Learning Trip to aid the Village during the Seville Yard Sale)
- Elemental Arts (An Arts Integration Program to actualize community pride and resilience.
Adam Michel is a visual art teacher in the Cloverleaf School District where he unlocks the creative hearts and minds of his students to achieve their full potential. He serves as a Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church of Seville, where he helps young people grow in relationship with Jesus Christ by building them up in love. Adam is happily married to Alaina Michel, and father of 3 daughters Natalie, Evelyn and Lucia. He enjoys spending time with his family and loves pouring out his heart to the community around him.
Tom is the Global Portfolio Product Manager at Pepperl+Fuchs Group in Twinsburg, Ohio. He’s served as the Certification Engineer, managed international projects, and served in IT and electronics industries for 30 years. Tom volunteers in pastoral care and advising for his community in Seville, Ohio. He’s joyfully married to Shannon and enjoys time with his two teenage sons, Tyler and TJ.
Amy is the Practice Manager II for Barberton Family Practice & Residency Program. As a registered nurse of 20 years experience in schools and hospitals Amy is compassionate and effective at inspiring peace and joy in her patients and employees. Amy and her husband, David, volunteer in their community to help residents of all ages know they are loved and there is a special purpose for their lives. David, is a blacksmith in Medina County and they have 3 beautiful children, 3 horses and 1 dog.
Kimberly is enthusiastic about strengthening communities through art experiences by partnering interdisciplinary studies. She has a knack for identifying fresh solutions and being agile, with collaborative methods, to put them in motion. Kimberly is detail-oriented and focused. She brings wellness to all people, audience members, faculty, and friends through arts & leadership practices. She’s married to Benjamin Payne (Yankee Bravo), has two fascinating teenagers, and two huskies.
